- Compare and evaluate different strategies and frameworks for designing informal learning programs.
- Analyze and design for the learning needs, interests, and culture of a target learner group to create an informal learning program.
- Apply the connected learning framework, facilitation strategies, design tools, and appropriate technologies to design and facilitate a high-quality informal learning program in a library or professional setting.
- Engage in peer critique iterations and design cycles to evaluate and improve the informal learning program and facilitation skills.
This course covers theories, methods, and designs for learning and teaching in libraries and other informal learning environments. Students apply frameworks, strategies, and tools to design and improve an informal learning program as they develop professionally as facilitators.
