This course examines scholarly communication systems for the creation, dissemination, and evaluation of scholarly information. It introduces the role of digital technology in the transformation of information, especially from the view of librarianship. Topics include scholarly publishing, peer review, and the open access movement, including achievements, challenges, and current trends.
