With a firm grounding in science, you can build tools that take biological data to new places. Bridge the gap between data and discovery by drawing on both biological, information and data science skills.

With specialized expertise in informatics, supported by a solid scientific background, you’ll have the expertise to turn facts into findings, analyzing data to reveal new knowledge in fields such as genomics and precision medicine. Get the skills to enter this exciting realm by earning a bachelor of science degree in biology from the School of Science, and a master’s degree in bioinformatics from the Luddy School of Informatics, Computing, and Engineering in Indianapolis.

The plan of study follows the B.S. in Biology plan of study for years 1-3. You’ll begin taking graduate level courses during year 4 as follows:
