Informatics Minor

Stop being bewildered

From pay-it-yourself parking kiosks to new voicemail systems, we’ve all wrestled with (and been assisted by) technology.

No matter your major, evolving technologies are sure to be part of the equation. Learn the skills to apply technology and develop applications for your field of study, by earning our minor in informatics.

You’ll have the opportunity to customize your minor to match your interests, and increase your knowledge of topics such as data mining, electronic discovery, and human-computer interaction.

Informatics knowledge builds confidence

Intelligently and intuitively utilizing technology as a tool for solving problems and working with data is the essence of informatics.

With this minor you’ll be positioned to:

  • Design better information systems
  • Use digital technology more effectively at work
  • Integrate new and updated computing applications into your specialty

Your courses will introduce you to the basic concepts of software architecture and provide you with practical experience in application development.
