Mission

Health Information Management Program Students can improve health care systems and enhance the patient experience—without becoming a nurse or physician. Develop sought-after skills that lead to employment in a Health Information Management (HIM) field.
Graduates will help people navigate complex health care facilities and protect the security of their electronic health records by becoming a Health Information Management professional.

The Health Information Management Program is hoping to be the leader in education for students in the following three areas; This ability would set up the University and its students/graduates for making a state, national and global change.
There is a need for individuals to work with society to help in education in diversity, technology, data, documentation, and performance improvement. Giving students hands-on experience with expertise that is core to Health Information Management while making sure they can follow through with those skills on-site to be ready after graduation.
This Program will always teach ethics as the core of the field and the importance of it to be practiced in all activities-in school, on-site, and in the field to be of utmost importance; This applies to activities, data, documentation, and perception.
Diversity, Equality, and Inclusion are taught and practiced throughout this Program and portrayed inside and outside the Program. With inequality being an area throughout the world, it is this Program hope that we can hope to change this area by educating; then passing on the education and practices to others in Healthcare.
