The faculty in the department of human-centered computing conduct innovative research in important areas of human-computer interaction, informatics and emerging, interactive media. The research of our award-winning faculty is supported by the National Science Foundation (NSF), National Institute of Health (NIH), Google Research Awards, and the MacArthur Foundation; in 2013 faculty and students engaged in research generated 50 peer-reviewed publications, 57 exhibits/presentations related to research and creative activities, and collaborated on 32 awarded grants.
