Students in Artificial Intelligence course can earn a certification from

Thanks to a new partnership between and the School of Informatics and Computing at IUPUI, students in the Artificial Intelligence Bachelor of Arts program will receive a Conversational Bot Developer certification from Cocohub on completion of the new I220 Bots Development course.

According to the company, “ is a no code, frictionless bot-building platform, for video, voice, and textual chatbots. Using proprietary technology and machine learning algorithms, we simplify the bot creation process by using conversational components that accomplish a wide range of goals. Cocohub is the world’s first end-to-end solution where you create a videobot you can talk to, on various video conferencing platforms.”

Conversational components, or coco’s, are prebuilt to create flowing, human-like conversations. The designer can customize the coco to align with their bot’s personality.

Fawzi BenMessaoud, Ph.D., lecturer in AI and Informatics and developer of the AI course curriculum at the School of Informatics and Computing, said, “For us this will be an ideal way of providing our students with real world hands-on experience leading to building better skills and future career opportunities and jobs. I think this will be an excellent addition to our program and affiliation with this being the world’s first AI Videobot company.”

Clark Henderson, a student in the I220 course, said, “Overall the experience in learning and understanding the use of an AI-driven bot has been an incredible experience! It’s really easy to use and that was what made it enjoyable to get to work with In another course this semester, our final project looked into using AI to help folks with spending problems and help them better manage their finances to decrease the amount of financial stress they endure. It would definitely be something I would consider using in future courses and projects into my professional career!”
