Biography
Hometown: Kaohsiung, Taiwan
I am currently pursuing my Master’s in Human-Computer Interaction. At IUPUI, I am working as a research assistant for Dr. Fawzi BenMessaoud on a human-AI hybrid system; I am also a member of the Taiwanese Student Association and the Girl Gains Weight Lifting and Fitness Club.
With an undergraduate degree in Industrial Design, I have had several jobs in both product and UI design for tech companies in Taiwan over the past six years. In my previous working history, I have collaborated with people in different professions and countries to accomplish multiple interface designs for customers worldwide. I established a new design guideline that housed more than 150 applications and helped the design team reduce working hours on projects.
In the upcoming years, I hope to gain in-depth knowledge of research through acquiring interdisciplinary perspectives and applying a broader range of qualitative research methods. My goal is to innovate interactions between humans and technology through a comprehensive understanding of human behaviors.
Advice for new students: Be open-minded, curious, and proactive. Set high standards for yourself and then live up to them. Most importantly, do not hesitate to reach out if help is needed!
