Equipment Checkout

Students can check out professional-quality gear for use on class projects, such as shooting video footage for a documentary or a live-action short.

Video production students may utilize a range of Blackmagic Design Professional cameras. These include Cinema Camera, URSA Mini and URSA Mini Pro models. The cameras are available in kits that include Rokkinon prime lenses and Sigma Zoom lenses. These kits allow the students to produce content for narrative or documentary film in 4K or HD.

Arri and Lowel light kits and production sound devices from Zoom, Rode, and AKG also are available.

3D Printing

Luddy Indianapolis has a 3D print lab located on campus for Luddy students, faculty, and staff to print 3D objects for class or personal projects. The lab is equipped with 4 Makerbot printers including 2 Z18 large format printers.
