Stories of iDEW alumni earning internships and careers in IT.

Tyler Bowling

An iDEW student and 2017 Arsenal Technical High School graduate, Bowling earned a degree in computer/information technology administration and management from Purdue University and was a cross country/track student-athlete, He interned at Eli Lilly in 2019 and TCT in Cody, Wyoming in 2021, and was hired by ReliaQuest as a SIEM engineer after graduation.

Emerald Evans

Evans graduated from Arsenal Technical High School in 2016 and Purdue University in 2020, with a B.A. in Law and Society. She is currently enrolled at the Indiana University Robert H. McKinney School of Law.

Rebekah Holcomb

Rebekah Holcomb

Holcomb attended Pike High School in Indianapolis where she was an iDEW student, graduating in 2018. At IU's Luddy School of Informatics, Computing and Engineering at Indianapolis she was a LiFT scholar and served as an iDEW near-peer mentor. Holcomb graduated with a bachelor of science degree in informatics in 2022 and was hired as a software engineer at Celigo.

Patience Korrie

Korrie attended Arsenal Technical High School in Indianapolis and was an iDEW student. Graduating in 2017, she became an iDEW intern at Cummins. She graduated from Taylor University in 2021 with a bachelor's degree in applied science, computer science and digital media/systems. Korrie works for Infosys in Providence, Rhode Island, as a full-stack developer.

Isabel Lopez

Isabel Lopez

Lopez graduated from Providence Cristo Rey High School in 2018, and enrolled at IUPUI as a LiFT Scholar. She was chosen from a nationwide pool of applicants for a 25-person cohort with the iSchool Inclusion Institute (i3). After graduating with her B.S. in informatics in 2022, Lopez went to work as a business intelligence and data analyst at General Motors.

Pike High School graduates Katherine and Karen Barrientos Moreno have UX internships this summer; Karen is at Oracle and Katherine is at 3M. They are both attending Purdue University.

Oscar Aca Saucedo

Saucedo is a graduate of Pike High School and received his B.S. in Computer Engineering from IUPUI in 2021. He is employed as a Software Development Engineer in Test at Moser Consulting and is pursuing an M.S. in Electrical and Computer Engineering.
