The Bachelor of Arts in Artificial Intelligence requires 120 credit hours.

Mathematics and Statistics (12 cr.)

  • MATH 15300 College Algebra (on campus, 3 cr.) or MATH-M 125 Precalculus Mathematics (online, 3 cr.)
  • MATH 15400 Trigonometry (on campus, 3 cr.) or MATH-M 126 Trigonometric Functions (online, 3 cr.)
  • MATH 24300 Linear Algebra for Data Science (on campus, 3 cr.) or MATH-M 303 Linear Algebra (online, 3 cr.)
  • PBHL-B 302 Biostatistics for Informatics – Python (3 cr.) or PBHL-B 280 Biostatistics for Health Data Science – R (3 cr.)

Technical Writing (3 cr.)

World Language (0–8)

One of the following: Demonstrated 200-level world language proficiency, a 200-level world language course, or a first-year world language sequence (131 and 132).

Area of Specialization (12 cr.)

Choosing an area of specialization is required, and you may select any minor or certificate through Indiana University Indianapolis to best customize your degree to your career interests.

The number of credits required for each minor, certificate, or specialization varies. If you choose an option that is less than 12 credit hours, you will need to add additional electives to your degree plan to reach 120 credit hours.
