Biography
Hometown: Mumbai, India
Having worked at India’s biggest design studio as User Experience Analyst for 4 years has given me quality design wisdom. During my time at the studio, I have taken up various roles as a designer and collaborated with diverse designers. I believe this is what makes me unique as a designer.
I am currently assisting Professor Skip as a research assistant at the COMET lab (COnvergent Media and Exploratory Technologies Lab) of SoIC. Besides academics, I am also part of Indian students’ association at IUPUI called Desijags, which promotes Indian values and helps students experience Indian culture.
One of my core values is giving back to society, on one such volunteering activity. I stumped upon my love for design and realized how good design can make the world a better place. When I am not designing, I am occupied in the kitchen baking, exploring my craft skills through DIY projects, or making travel plans for my next vacation.
Advice for new students:
Pursuing higher education in a new country can be overwhelming at times, but you can always seek help from any of the graduate ambassadors or current students. We have been on similar journey, hence can empathize your apprehension.
IUPUI offers numerous opportunities to upskill yourself; try possibilities outside your comfort zone for a transformative learning experience. Come be a proud #Gradjag
